My name is Jessica Twehous. As the primary therapist and owner of Thrive Counseling Services, it is my desire to provide a space unlike any other in your life -- one where you are the focus, one where you feel heard and understood, and one where you can find comfort and strength to navigate through your greatest challenges. I take a personalized, person-centered approach to therapy and find passion in helping others become empowered to grow, heal, and transform their lives.

I received my bachelors in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed my masters in Professional Counseling from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. As a Jefferson City native, it's an honor to serve my community and I'm fueled by my passion to see its impact on the lives of families and individuals close to home. My years of experience and extensive training provide me with the competency to understand your most complex issues and the knowledge of what methods and techniques truly work to help clients make meaningful change. I utilize evidence-based treatments to help you overcome your challenges and find lasting growth and transformation to carry with you for the rest of your life.
